Industry veteran Thomas Goldsmith named senior vice president, national sales manager

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (September 7, 2016) – BankUnited has announced that Thomas Goldsmith has been named senior vice president, national sales manager for Bridge Funding Group, Inc., a subsidiary of BankUnited, N.A., which specializes in franchise and equipment financing.

An industry veteran of more than 30 years, Goldsmith has extensive experience in strategic planning, client relationship building and providing solutions within the equipment finance industry. He comes to Bridge Funding Group from Capital One Equipment Finance in Baltimore, where he served as national sales manager.

Goldsmith’s responsibilities at Bridge Funding Group will include directing a national sales force, setting and managing sales goals and expense budgets, and managing transaction pricing.

Since June, BankUnited has named five additional top executives to Bridge Funding Group, formed earlier this year when the company merged two subsidiaries, Bridge Capital Leasing and United Capital Business Lending.

A resident of Kingsville, Md., Goldsmith is active in youth sports coaching and administration for the town’s recreation council. He received his undergraduate degree from Towson University and his MBA from the University of Baltimore.
