MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (September 8, 2017) – BankUnited announced eight additions to its Bridge Funding Group franchise lending and equipment financing teams. Bridge Funding Group is a direct lending subsidiary based in Hunt Valley, Maryland, that specializes in franchise and equipment financing.

Joining the franchise lending team are: Chris Theis, vice president and business development officer; Cindy Edwards, assistant vice president and business development officer; Jonathan Violetti, assistant vice president and business development officer; and Jill Moraniec, vice president and commercial portfolio manager. Theis (Minnesota), Edwards (Nebraska), and Violetti (New Jersey) bring over 40 years of combined experience and will be responsible for originating loans to franchised and general commercial businesses seeking funding for remodeling, new store development and acquisition financing. Moraniec is based at Bridge Funding Group, Inc.’s headquarters and is responsible for management and credit duties for a portfolio of the bank’s franchise clients.

New to the equipment financing team are: Lance Vincent, vice president and southwest region business development officer; Tom Moosey, vice president and equipment manager; Miles Martin, vice president and senior credit underwriter; and Thomas Peer, vice president and corporate portfolio manager. With over two decades of experience, Vincent (Texas) is responsible for direct marketing and origination of equipment lease and loan transactions in the southwestern U.S. Moosey is also an industry veteran bringing 30 years of experience in the equipment leasing industry; his focus will be on managing risk and growing the equipment lease and loan portfolio. Based at Bridge Funding Group, Inc.’s headquarters, Martin and Peer are responsible for underwriting equipment finance for a broad range of industries and assets, and managing annual and quarterly financial reviews of commercial portfolios, respectively.
